Scientific interests: studying survival mechanisms of organisms, host-microbe interactions, developing sustainable biological control strategies that complement innovative biopesticide formulations by ascertaining their suitability through molecular biology, omics, microscopy and other relevant approaches.
Personal interests: enjoy good food, movie and company!

Sarah is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms of biological processes using nematode model systems. During her PhD, she characterized membrane proteins implicated in disease using C. elegans and now explores animal-microbe symbiosis using entomopathogenic nematodes. Outside of the lab, Sarah enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with family.

I'm a chemistry major hoping to attend dental school after graduation. I've had the opportunity to do research in biochemistry and analytical chemistry, and I'm excited to continue exploring research in microbiology. Outside of research and classes, I enjoy reading, working on needlepoint projects, and taking Pilates classes.
